After School Activities

Fencing

Fencing is offered twice a week in the fall for 10 sessions. The course is taught by Vladimir Lilov, founder and head coach of the Lilov Fencing Academy in New Jersey. Maestro Lilov's young pupils have reached the finals of U.S. tournaments and won Junior Olympic titles, a silver medal at the 2000 Junior World Championships, and a gold medal at the 2000 World Championships.

Co-ed Basketball

Co-ed basketball is offered beginning in February in two four-week Saturday sessions. To accommodate the approximately 40 students who participate in this program, six teams are formed. Coached by Dr. Cap and Mr. Furlong, each league is given a name. One year the "Produce League" consisted of such teams as the Grapefruits, the Boysenberries, the Tomatoes, etc. Another year, "One League Under the Sea" included the Algae, the Coral, and the Seaweed teams.

Bowling

The Craig School Bowling League is a PACS-run program generally held on Saturday morning at the nearby Boonton Lanes. Trophies listing the high score for each child are awarded at the end of each session at a celebratory pizza party.

Homework Help Club

Students may stay for an hour after school to complete their homework on Monday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. This period is supervised by Craig teachers and is offered at no extra cost.

Art Lessons

Art lessons may be arranged after school with a Craig art teacher.
