Cinco de Mayo Fiesta! May 5th, 2012

The Craig School will celebrate the mission and spirit of its community at its premier fundraising event - the Annual Spring Auction on May 5th. This year's auction theme, "Cinco de Mayo Fiesta!", promises an evening of fun and excitement for the families and friends of Craig, as they gather in support of the school that has done so much for their children.
The heart of a successful auction lies in our community - parents who go above and beyond to pull all the pieces together to create a spectacular event. We encourage everyone to get involved - there are "mucho" opportunities to participate in ways that fit your talents, interests and time availability.
LATEST AUCTION NEWS
The auction's 50/50 Raffle Tickets are selling well, and we want to keep the momentum going! We encourage everyone to purchase at least one ticket, and to ask your friends and family to support the raffle as well. Each $25 ticket purchase brings us closer to reaching our goal of selling all 400 tickets prior to auction night!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
There are so many ways for you to get involved in the auction and be a part of its success, including:
Donations - At the top of the list is helping to fill our silent auction display tables and our exciting live auction. We are asking all Craig families to donate an item, a service or a coveted experience for the bidding. The Craig School Spring Auction prides itself on offering a wide variety of items to suit all budgets and interests. Examples of the categories of our auction donations include home goods, jewelry and accessories, artwork, sports and entertainment memorabilia, gift certificates for restaurants, private tours and vacation home getaways. Cash donations are also welcome, if you prefer to leave the shopping and brainstroming to us! Pledge your donation today by completing and submitting your Auction Donation Agreement Form.

Decorations - For those with an artistic flair, the auction needs your help in making our Cinco de Mayo theme come alive at The Villa. Incorporate the vibrant colors and images of a Mexican fiesta in decorating our silent auction display tables, center pieces for the ballroom dining tables and our live auction display boards.
Craig Creative - Meet with the Craig School art teachers to discuss their artistic contributions to the auction and those of our student artists. Learn how you can work with both teachers and students as they create one of a kind items to be bid on at the auction.
Record Keeping - Learn how vital the behind the scenes process is in presenting an event as multi-faceted at The Craig School Spring Auction. Work with the team that inputs donations into the school's auction computer program, writes donation descriptions for the auction program, creates bid boards, gift certificates, signage, etc.
These are just some of the auction activities you can be a part of, but the most important thing is to get involved! If you are willing to join the auction team, we guarantee that you will find it a fun and rewarding expeience - and you will be supporting The Craig School at the same time!
