Craig Program Spotlight-Craig 3rd and 4th Grade Book Publishing Tea: On May 23, the Craig School hosted its Eighth Annual Book Publishing Tea. Led by Craig School Orton specialist, Mrs. Linda Wallace, our third and fourth grade students wrote a series of individual stories that were bound into personal books. The topics of these wonderfully creative stories ranged from a tale about ninja warriors to a tribute to our veterans. Next, our students illustrated their books and then rehearsed reading them for the Tea Party. On the day of the Tea, the children read their books aloud to an audience of guest parents and teachers. Then of course, tea was served, and the books were passed around for a closer look. Each year, the students get very involved and excited about the book publishing process. It is evident by the group questions, “When can we start writing our sequels?” and “Should we have a book signing?”.
