Project Read

Last June, 20 Craig School teachers along with teachers from other school districts attended a Project Read: Report Form workshop hosted by the school.

On three consecutive sweltering June days after the end of the school year, 20 Craig School teachers along with teachers from other school districts attended a Project Read: Report Form workshop hosted by the school.

Project Read is an Orton-Gillingham based, multisensory strategy consisting of different "strands" for decoding, written expression and reading comprehension. The Report Form teaches students how to analyze expository writing and is an important extension of the Project Read strategies already in use by reading and language arts teachers.
