2006 Graduation
June, 2006 marked the largest class of Craig high school graduates to date.
On June 9, 2006 at 7:00 pm the Craig School held graduation ceremonies for 22 high school seniors at the Wilson School auditorium in Mountain Lakes. Although only the third 12th grade graduating class since 2000 when Craig began a high school, it was by far the largest group of graduates.
Following welcoming remarks by Headmaster David Blanchard and Board Chair, David Kaugher, Upper School Director, Eric Caparulo, gave a humorous, often poignant and insightful summary of his journey over the past four years with the graduates. Former graduate and award-winner, Stephen Malakoff, presented the Genesis Award, the upper school’s highest honor, to Michael Berman, a Craig senior and Student Council Vice President. The guest speaker was Will Ebert, a former history teacher at Craig who is now enrolled in law school and newly married. In fact, Will and his new bride had just returned from their honeymoon! Senior Class President, Douglas Robins, gave the valedictorian address comparing his four years at Craig to the growth of a new nation.
