Grandfriends' Day 2007
Grandfriends once again flock to Craig to spend the morning with their grandchildren the day before Thanksgiving.
Over 70 Grandfriends and relatives arrived on November 21st at 8:30 AM for breakfast at Craig before heading off to classrooms with their grandkids leading the way. Each grandfriend experienced an abbreviated schedule of classes, each approximately 20 minutes in length, as a kind of educational snapshot of the methods used by Craig teachers to address learning differences.
At 11:00 all students and their grandfriends trooped across to the Wilson auditorium for a musical presentation by two performers, Sruli & Lisa, whose interactive show, "We Are All Americans", celebrated American's diverse immigrant communities. One of the grandfathers actually was inveigled into performing a belly dance on stage. Too bad we don't have a photo of that!
