DEAR CRAIG FAMILY:
OUR STUDENTS ON THE MOUNTAIN LAKES CAMPUS HAVE SETTLED IN NICELY TO THEIR NEW SURROUNDINGS IN THE WILSON BUILDING.
It was great seeing so many families at Back to School night and to get a sense of just how the new classrooms, including the space that has been freed-up in Henderson Hall, are being used by our students and teachers. More great projects are coming at the Lower/Middle School and there are several projects on the schedule over at Craig High School. We will have more details soon.
As we are nearing the end of the year, please consider giving to the Annual Fund. Tuition alone does not cover the costs for our programs. The Annual Fund helps to bridge that gap. Please contribute to the Annual Fund with a gift that is meaningful to your family.
I wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts on being a Craig parent. Our children are getting the best education possible. We should not worry about that. But if you are anything like me, the worrying never ends. We wonder how they will fit in at Craig, if they will maintain the friendships from their “old schools,” and now that our son, Giacomo is looking into high schools, what are the next steps. Please share your concerns with our teachers and administrators. Craig has been great in providing our family advice and insight into finding the best high school for Giacomo. It didn’t occur to me that Giacomo and his classmates were talking so much about their plans. But any anxiety or fear that we felt about the process was relieved through meaningful discussions with his teachers and Janet Cozine. I am sure our Seniors and Juniors at Craig High School are feeling the same (if not much more) pressure for college planning. Dr. Cap and Dawn DeSimone, Director of College Counseling & Placement, are always there to show us the way. I had no idea how great our resources are at Craig High School. I do now, so please take advantage of everything we have to offer and let us know how we can help.
Happy Holidays to you and your families!
Enjoy the year-end break. Spring will be here before we know it.
Chairman, Board of Trustees Frank
