November and December are tough months for children and parents. I have written about this before, At family and school events, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hanukah, families often have new family dynamics to contend with that gives all pause. Many of us will have had a family change to in the last year. Like my thoughts from last week, it is important to prepare for change. The suggestions I have heard are to address it head-on, acknowledge the fact that a loved one might not be at the family table any longer, and celebrate each other and how you can be supportive of each other. These are all basic elements to life in two months that have more complications than usual.
