Clinicians Corner
Mrs. Brown’s Social Dynamics class was all about teamwork this week! Students were tasked with working together to build various models using straws/connector pieces and also an Inventor’s Building kit. Besides being able to construct the expected models, students were focusing more on their communication with each other, balancing their participation so everyone was involved, problem solving and working collaboratively for the overall goal. The students did great and beat every challenge they were tasked with! Enjoy

HS Cross-Curricular Project: Greece's Most Wanted
What do you get when you combine Literature and Art with the research and pyro-technic skills of our 10th grade? You get a series of awesome ‘Greece’s Most Wanted” posters. Our 10th graders extensively studied, researched, and profiled these Greek deities of mischief and mayhem in Ms. Banks' 9th-grade Literature class during their studies of “Gods, Heroes, and Men of Ancient Greece”. They then carried their research over to Mrs. Tartaglia’s art class and created a “Wanted” poster for their deity using techniques to age their poster paper. Techniques included tea staining and paper burning to help create the final ancient look to their work. This cross-curricular project not only carried over into two courses but also carried over into two years! The project began last year and was put on hold because of pandemic lockdown restrictions. But our 10th graders were both resilient and determined to finish their work, in hopes that their posters would help bring these mischief-making Gods and Goddesses to justice.
