CHS Program Spotlight

Craig High Pet Wall Renovations:  The CHS Pet Wall was original constructed 10 years ago and during that time the students and faculty of The Craig School have proudly shared updated pictures of those ever so important members of our families that give us unconditional love while asking only to be walked, fed, and cleaned up after in return.   In the past we have had pictures of dogs, cats, frogs, horses, snakes, hamsters, ducks, rabbits, hermit crabs, and someone even slipped in a picture of their little brother!   Below is our updated Pet Wall with plenty of room for some new addition.  We would love for our families to share a picture of your pet or pets and help us to continue to renovate our wall.  Include with a picture the name of the pet

CHS Events

PACS Presents Monthly “Home Cooking” Special Lunch-Taco Tuesday:  What is the only logical way to follow up Decembers “Ziti Monday”?  Well Taco Tuesday of course!  We are proud to announce our next CHS Home Cooking event happening this Tuesday, January 22nd that brings “home cooking” from the kitchen of our parents to the lunch room of our students.  Our special lunch menu will include crunchy shells or soft flour tacos, black beans and rice, ground beef, shredded cheese, salsa, taco sauce, shredded lettuce, sliced olives, guacamole, sour cream, and a drink all courtesy of PACS and the parents of CHS.  Lunch is on them! Students are also welcome to bring in their own lunch or make arrangements with Dr. Cap to pop down the cafeteria.

Craig High School Class Rings-Designing Your Josten Ring Online:
Last week, our Josten Ring rep Dennis met with interested students to talk about HS rings and shared how they can design their very own one of a kind HS ring.  Ring catalogs are in the mail office and are available upon request by emailing Mrs. Maas at DMaas@craigschool.org

To design a ring online, go to www.Jostens.com, click on JEWLERY then HIGH SCHOOL. Type in CRAIG HIGH SCHOOL, town BOONTON, state NJ. For our parents, we bet you that you HS regardless of where in the county it is uses Josten and you can find your alma mata.  On the Josten website, you customize their own ring from metal to stone, print up their order and submit it with your payment. All orders and payments must be in byTuesday, January 29th when our Josten Ring Rep will return to CHS to size all students who have placed orders. Any other ring questions email Mrs. Maas at DMaas@craigschool.org

CHS Reminders

Craig High Collecting “Box Tops for Education”: Craig High has been collecting Box Tops for Education since 2014 and as a school, we have been able to trade each box top collected in for ten cents apiece!  All from just cutting out those little “pink and blue squares” that say BOX TOP FOR EDUCATION on so many of the products we use on a regular basis.

We have set $250 as our lofty goal for this school year and we have until March 1st to pull this off. The only way we are going to come close is if we all come together and start clipping as a community. Below is a link to all of the products that carry the BOX TOP FOR EDUCATION logo. The process is simple. Cut them out, send them into the main office and we will turn them into cash for Craig HS! Let’s make it happen!https://www.boxtops4education.com/earn/participating-products

Craig School TREX Plastic Collection Continues: We started our TREX plastic collection back in early December and between then and now, we have collected over 12 lbs of plastic that will not spend the next few hundred years decomposing in a landfill but instead be recycled and turned into something new and useful! Please keep sending in those plastic bags/items below.  We have our specially marked TREX bin by our front door so students can easily drop off on their arrival at school.  Plastic items to send in include:

  • Grocery bags
  • Bread bags
  • Dry cleaning bags
  • News paper plastic sleeves
  • Ziplocs
  • Produce bags
  • Bubble wrap
  • Cereal bags

If you have any questions, please email our TREX contest facilitator, Mrs. Cap at CCaparulo@craigschool.org
