Independent. Purposeful.
Life-Changing.

The Craig School was founded as an independent school in 1980 with one purpose: to serve children with learning disabilities — specifically the kind that make decoding, reading comprehension, and written expression a daily struggle. For more than four decades, we've stayed devoted to that founding mission.

Students Who Are Ready to Achieve

With the right intervention and the right school setting, our students don't just meet traditional academic benchmarks — they're capable of exceeding them.

Beginning in 2nd grade and continuing through graduation, Craig provides a full continuum of support.
The Craig School Promise

Craig School Prepares Students for Life

Our research-based program, tailored to students with learning disabilities, creates lasting impact in three key areas.

Pillar 01

Relationships

Craig students go on to thrive in whatever comes next, equipped with the academic skills and self-advocacy tools our program builds.

Pillar 02

Academics

A strength-based education builds confidence and resilience — the foundation every student needs to pursue a meaningful, successful path.

Pillar 03

Life

Social-emotional and moral growth are woven into every part of the Craig experience, producing well-rounded, compassionate young adults.

Gold Standard

Orton-Gillingham Structured Literacy Intervention

Recognized as the gold standard in literacy instruction for language-based learning differences — in particular dyslexia — The Craig School's signature Orton-Gillingham program is built on decades of reading science.

Our Families

Hear What Our Parents Are Saying

Real families. Real transformation. The Craig School difference in their own words.

"

We are halfway through our first year at Craig School and our sixth grader couldn't be more happy, confident, or secure. She has expressed that she feels understood and that Craig School was made for her. There is no greater joy as a parent than to see your child thrive rather than shrink in the shadows of their teachers and peers.

I am in awe at how hard all of you have worked to make this school experience as close to in-person as possible. Thank you to everyone at Craig. I cannot say enough about how this has been a positive experience in spite of the challenges around us.
