BOWL-A-RAMA REGISTRATION

CHS Summer Program July-August  2026

Summer School registration is now open, so here is what you need to know. The Craig High School Summer Academic Program will be held at our MOUNTAIN LAKES campus during July (July 6-July 30, Mon-Thurs 9 am-12 pm).  The experience of having both schools on one campus last summer was a positive experience for our summer students and staff, so this year we will be heading over to Mt. Lakes.

In addition to the morning academic program, you can also register for the AFTERNOON ENRICHMENT Program, which follows the morning academics, M-TH from 12-3:30 PM.  The afternoon enrichment program offers all-day field trips on Fridays throughout July (Fridays, 9AM-4PM).  For our HS students attending the afternoon enrichment program, we provide an opportunity to be a “Counselor in Training” (CIT). Our CIT program is facilitated by Mr. Furlong.

For more information on our summer program, visit our website.

Any summer questions, reach out to our Director of Admissions, Kate Tartaglia

CHS Career Awareness Speaker Series: Hollywood Returns to CHS

Last February, many of our students remember the excitement when Steven Spielberg came to Montville to film a scene at a local gas station down the road from CHS. The Craig High parking lot and gym were transformed into a bustling production hub, complete with trailers, food trucks, and nonstop activity.

From A-list actors to the many behind-the-scenes professionals who bring movies to life, students got an indirect look at what it took to film just a single scene for a major Hollywood production. The forthcoming project, set for release this July, Disclosure Day, stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo.

We had the pleasure of reconnecting with two key professionals from the film industry who shared their insights into their career paths, the nuances of film production, the many actors and directors they have worked with, and the wide range of opportunities in film and TV.

Katherine (Kat) Delaney is a Directors Guild of America location manager. She has worked on major productions like Joker, The Irishman, Billions, Nurse Jackie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, West Side Story, her latest project, DISCLOSURE DAY! Kat grew up in Summit and has strong ties to the NJ Film Industry.  She attended NYU and shared with our students that her dyslexia was her superpower that allowed her to think outside the box.  She regaled the students with many great celebrity stories and helped us realize that at the end of the day, the celebs are just like us!

David W. Schoner, Jr. is the Associate Director at NJMPTC (NJ Motion Pictures and Television Commission) and assists filmmakers with location scouting and works directly with municipalities and state agencies to bring more film productions to the Garden State. He graduated from New Jersey City University and has worked in the NJ film industry for close to four decades. He shared the importance of finding internships, seeking out mentors, and working in various jobs to find your niche in the field.

ATHLETICS

Badger Bowling Intramural League-WEEK ONE UPDATE

The opening week of the CHS Intramural Bowling is in the books, and it was an exciting one.  Our bowlers worked through their off-season rust to put up some impressive totals.

Leading the team in SPARES, two players blazed a path for the rest to follow. Rookie of the Year Candidate, Caelen, and seasoned veteran Miles led all blowers with 7 spares apiece. Miles also posted the HIGH game of the day with an impressive 135.  Not be outdone, defending bowling champ, Griffin, led the team STRIKES with 4 and in high AVERAGE for the day, posting a 120.5 per game. According to Coach Crum, other than a ball getting stuck in the gutter mid-game, it was an impressive week of bowling, and we are looking forward to week number two.
