THE CRAIG SCHOOL

WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
Message from the Director

Dear Badger families,

A huge congratulations and thank you to Amy Stickley and the Red Nose Day Leadership Committee for creating such a fun and meaningful day for our students! Through creative, age-appropriate activities, students explored important lessons about fairness, teamwork, and helping others while having a great time.

From mini-golf and carnival games to building waterproof shelters, making soup, and playing Life, every activity encouraged students to think, collaborate, and give back. One of the highlights of the day was hearing from the founder of Homes 4 All, the organization selected to receive this year’s donation.

We are so proud of the leadership, creativity, and compassion shown throughout the day. Thank you to everyone who helped make Red Nose Day such a success!

Enjoy the long holiday weekend,

Jen Guthrie

Director of the Lower & Middle School

It’s a wonderful way to be part of your child’s send-off and make the day extra meaningful. Please fill out the Google Form below if you can help!

The Craig School’s 20th Annual Golf Outing & Auction

Tuesday, June 16, 2026
Ballyowen Golf Club

As we count down to our 20th Annual Golf Outing, we are incredibly grateful for the amazing support from our Craig community.

While our official registration deadline has passed, there is still time to join us on the course! We do have limited flexibility remaining for golfers and sponsors as final plans come together.

In addition, we are currently building our auction experiences -  and we would greatly appreciate support through our Golf Outing Amazon Wishlist.

Whether you attend the outing or simply want to support the event from afar, every item donated helps make the day extra special for our golfers and guests while supporting The Craig School and our students.

CRAIG HIGH NEWS

CHS Senior Charlie Named 2026 NJIDA Rothchild Scholarship Recipient

We are so proud to share that Craig High senior, Charlie, has been named a 2026 recipient of the NJIDA Lois Rothschild Scholarship, earning a $5,000 award from the New Jersey International Dyslexia Association. He will be honored at the upcoming Dyslexia Dash 5K Walk & Run event in Skillman, NJ, on June 7th.

In Charlie’s award-winning essay, he shared,  “I was diagnosed with dyslexia when I was in kindergarten…learning never came easily to me. For high school, I transferred to The Craig School, a school for students with language-based learning differences. That is where things really began to change for me…I began to understand that my dyslexia did not have to hold me back. Through hard work and the right instruction, I was able to return to reading on grade level… Overcoming dyslexia has shaped who I am today and has made me a more determined and resilient person”.

At CHS, we talk a lot about ownership, self-awareness, and finding your path. Charlie has taken that talk and made it real. He has grown into a student who understands how he learns, advocates for himself, and puts in the work day in and day out. This recognition is well earned.  We’re proud of you, Charlie. Keep up the great work next year at Johnson College!
