Craig High NHS “SOUPER BOWL” Canned Food Drive 2026
(MONDAY, FEB 2-FRIDAY FEB 6): The Craig High Chapter of the National Honor Society
will be partnering with the Montville food pantry for our annual
“Souper Bowl” Canned Food Drive leading into this year's Super Bowl.
Each can that is donated will go into a specially marked box designating our
two Super Bowl LX contenders, the SEATTLE SEAHAWKS and the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS.
For our non-football can collectors, we will have a BAD BUNNY BOX!
Last Year's NHS Souper Bowl Can Drive (2025)
Students will decide which box/team gets the cans. We will start collecting cans this Monday, February 2nd, through next Friday, February 6th, and use our can totals to pick our Super Bowl winner and predict the final score. And yes, we will be accepting more than just soup. Soup just worked better in the drive title!
CHS Summer Program July-August 2026-REGISTRATION
Summer School registration is now open, so here is what you need to know. The Craig High School Summer Academic Program will be held at our MOUNTAIN LAKES campus during July (July 6-July 30, Mon-Thurs 9 am-12 pm). The experience of having both schools on one campus last summer was a positive experience for our summer students and staff, so this year we will be heading over to Mt. Lakes.
In addition to the morning academic program, you can also register for the AFTERNOON ENRICHMENT Program, which follows the morning academics M-TH from 12-3:30 PM. The afternoon enrichment program offers all-day field trips on Fridays throughout July (Fridays, 9AM-4PM). For our HS students attending the afternoon enrichment program, we provide an opportunity to be a “Counselor in Training” (CIT). Our CIT program is facilitated by Mr. Furlong.
For more information on our summer program, visit our website at
ACADEMICS- SUMMER ACADEMY and click on the High School tab.
To register for the morning and/or afternoon program, go to the website.
Any summer questions, reach out to our Director of Admissions, Kate Tartaglia, at KTartaglia@craigschool.org
SPEAKER SERIES
Badger Bowling Intramural League-WEEK TWO UPDATE-Joe B Rolls a “Turkey”
During the 1900’s, around Thanksgiving and Christmas time, bowling alleys actually awarded bowlers who would pull off three consecutive strikes with a real live Turkey. It became a lasting term in the bowling lexicon and represents a monumental and rare achievement.
In a CHS 1st ever, freshman Joe B pulled off the impossible. In the 10th frame of our final game, he rolled three consecutive strikes. What made that even more impressive is that he had two spares in the preceding two frames. It was one of the most amazing runs in CHS Bowling history!
In other CHS bowling news, the high bowler for week two was our newest bowler, freshman Elijah, who bowled a 121 and averaged 114 for the day. Senior Charlie led the team with 5 spares. Junior, Matt took the strike crown for week 2 with 4 strikes. This week is our final week of Bowling, which means it's time for the CHS “Tournament of Champions”. Results will be in next week's CHIL.
Congratulations!
Undefeated Craig school team!! Champs!!!

We are excited to announce the official date for this year’s Annual Craig School Chili Throwdown.
It will be Sunday, March 15th, from 1PM-3PM on the Montville campus. This tradition dates back over 20 years, when in 2010, we held our first throwdown in Lincoln Park.
First Chili Throwdown 2010
We have crowned quite a few Craig School Chili Champs since then and are looking to make
this year’s the biggest and best Chili Throwdown ever. In order to make that happen, we need our
Craig Community to come out in force! So let’s start with our SAVE THE DATE-Sunday, March 15th (1-3PM).
