This week wraps up our fall after-school art and indoor intramural soccer league. When we get back from our Thanksgiving break, we will be polling students for interest in our after-school esports league as well as a new after-school addition, Badger Bootcamp (Core-Cardio-Strength Training).

CHS National Honor Society Candy Collection Candy for Soldiers-Treats for Troops: Thank you to all of our families, students, and teachers for supporting our annual NHS “Treats for Troops” Post-Halloween Candy Drive. We exceeded last year’s totals by over 10lbs and dropped off over 30lbs of candy at our local Soldiers’ Angels pick-up site.
Craig School MOBILE APP: The Craig School will be integrating TEXT MESSAGING into our school communication system. We are looking to keep you current on important school announcements, calendar reminders, and school events. To be a part of this, you will need to DOWNLOAD The Craig School App, log in using your Veracross email that you use for the school, and ENABLE NOTIFICATIONS. You can find the “Craig School App” on the Google Play and Apple App Store, depending on your phone.
CHS Senior Charlie Accepted to Pennsylvania College of Technology: We are proud to announce that CHS Senior Charlie has been accepted to Pennsylvania College of Technology (PCT)! It has been a few years since a CHS student added PCT to our acceptance list.
Penn Tech is located in Williamsport, PA, and is affiliated with the Penn State University system. PCT combines the best of both worlds: a small campus of approximately 5000 students, while still being within a one-hour drive to Happy Valley and Penn State’s main campus in State College, PA. With an incredible array of majors, students can take pursue an AA or BA in robotics, mechanical engineering, architecture, aviation technology, culinary arts, graphic design, and welding. They offer support services through the Center for Academic Excellence, where students connect with academic advisors. The PCT Wildcats compete in NCAA Division III Sports. They offer Wrestling, Soccer, Basketball, Lacrosse, Baseball, Golf, and even an Archery team!
For high schoolers interested in getting a taste of the college experience, check out PCT’s pre-college summer programs, which Charlie was able to take advantage of last summer. Congrats again to Charlie and his family! Let’s go, PCT Wildcats! WE ARE… PENN STATE!
Badgers Wrap Up Fall Intramural Soccer League: Our fall soccer league will be wrapping up this week. It has been a real blast! Each practice began with a series of drills to hone our dribbling, passing, defending, and shooting skills. Many of those drills were recommended and led by some of our veteran soccer players. We would wrap up with a little 4-on-4 run that always ended up being settled in extra time!

Ordering CHS Lunch Delivery-DECEMBER: It feels like only yesterday we were ordering lunch for November! The ordering window for the short month of December will open up this FRIDAY, November 14th, through next FRIDAY, November 21st. Items of note for December: the menu includes a few treats for the students. Friday, December 5th, we have a special guest chef - our very own Charlie Tartaglia! In addition, we will have extra home-cooked days to close out the year. Please make sure to check out all days as they are not all on Thursday (our normal LLK cooked meals).
