Thank you to Alyssa Chartier for Chairing our 7th and 8th grade dance! She had a wonderful committee of parent volunteers that worked together to create a glow experience our students will never forget!Â
There are many fun events as we finish up the year so please keep watching the calendar, your email, this newsletter, and your child’s VIP folder. In our Community News section today you will see important information about Red Nose Day, our talent show, and graduation. We try to put the information out in multiple ways to ensure you are informed.Â
One such event is our annual Expo and Talent Show Night. Expo is intended to be a curriculum fair and will be hosted in the gym and cafeteria. Teachers will have various ways of showcasing your students work and the learning process in their classes. You will have the added benefit of being able to bring home much of their work from the year, including their art portfolios. As you finish with the expo portion of the evening, you will be able to grab a snack in the cafeteria and then head down to the auditorium for our annual talent show put on by Mr. Furlong and our very talented Badgers. This event will be held the evening of May 29th. Please mark it on your calendars and stay tuned for more details.
Another special event is the Awards Ceremony. This is a day set aside to acknowledge the strengths and accomplishments of all of our hard-working Badgers. We will be conducting the ceremonies in grade-level bands for grades 2-7 on the morning of June 11th to allow for a more intimate experience for each family. The 8th-grade awards are included in their graduation ceremony. The day is scheduled as a noon dismissal, so please feel free to take your child home after the ceremony. 8th graders will be celebrating with each other, having a special brunch. The individual times are:
9:00-10:00 Grades 2-5
10:30-11:30 Grades 6-7
Have a great weekend,
Jennifer Guthrie

Red Nose Day - May 22
Our committee is working hard to create another incredible day for our students. This year, we are sponsoring Covenant House. A speaker will join us to let us know about their mission and work. Leaders will share engaging lessons with students to raise awareness of issues facing this population. Our day ends with a student-run carnival created by the Leadership Council.Â
Snack Cart
This was our first week that our snack carts ran in Henderson and Wilson. Leadership presented this idea to administrators a few months ago and received the green light after working through some factors that could present challenges. This is our pilot program. After the pilot, we will evaluate how successful it was and if any adjustments need to be made.Â

THE CRAIG GOLF EVENT NEEDS YOUR HELP!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already supported our Golf Outing Auction by purchasing items from our Wish List! Your generosity is truly appreciated and is helping us build some incredible auction packages.
There are still plenty of great items available for those considering a donation, and other ways to pitch in if shopping isn’t your thing!
Here are 2 ways you can help.
First, our online auction will run alongside the outing, and we need your help to make it a success! Thanks to our generous Craig families, we’re bringing back the Amazon Wish List for easy item donations. Simply select an item, and it will be shipped directly to Craig School to be bundled into auction packages. All items must arrive by May 21st.
Every contribution - big or small - helps make this event successful. Thank you for supporting Craig’s largest fundraiser!
For questions, contact:
Amanda Jahn (ajahn@craigschool.org), or Mary Calvano (mcalvano@craigschool.org)
The second way to help - attend the outing and/or dinner. Details are:
