Badger families,
A new school year has so much promise, excitement, and firsts. Some of that is thrilling, and sometimes it feels unsettling. Each time our families come onto campus, the unsettled feelings lessen, and the excitement of a year filled with promise for your children grows. We started with our Back to School Celebration in August as an informal meet and greet between families, faculty, and staff. We continued with our Parent Information Lunch and Learn in September to introduce some of the programming unique to The Craig School. Next week we welcome our families onto campus for their final introduction to the school year for Back to School Night, This will provide the opportunity to meet each of your child’s teachers and learn about their class, their expectations, and your child’s day.Â
In order to fully prepare for Back to School Night, there is a noon dismissal this Thursday with our Back to School Night beginning promptly at 6:30pm in the Janet M. Cozine Auditorium. From there families will have scheduled time to visit each classroom and walk through much of their child’s day. Please keep in mind that Back to School Night is a time for teachers to give you an overview of their class, describe a typical day, and explain their expectations, not a time for individual conferences. If you find the need for an individual conversation, please reach out to the teacher and set up a time to speak. Please look in your child’s VIP folder this week for your schedule for Back to School Night.Â
Have a great weekend,
Jennifer Guthrie

Craig School Trunk-or-Treat & Class Parties
View our Sign Up Sheet in the Community/Sign Up Section!
Mark your calendars! On Friday, October 31st, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, PACS will host our annual Trunk-or-Treat in the Craig School LS/MS parking lot, which will also include class parties. Your grade-level holiday parents will send you more details about the class parties and additional volunteer opportunities.
Parents are welcome to decorate their car trunks (limited to 25 spots) and hand out candy as students parade in costume. Trunk decorating and parking can begin as early as 9:00 AM. Children may wear costumes to school or bring them to change into before the parade. PACS will provide bags for all students to collect their treats.  All are welcome to attend the Trunk-or-Treat. The parade will commence at 10:15 am, featuring all students willing to participate. The trunk-or-treating and class parties will follow.
Here’s the schedule trunk-or-treat times and class party locations:
*this is followed by the 10:15 All-School Parade
-Â 2nd to 5th grade:Â 10:30 AM, Gym (Left)
-Â 6th grade:Â 10:50 AM, Gym (Right)
-Â 7th and 8th grade:Â 11:10 AM, Cafeteria
We kindly request bulk donations of individually wrapped, nut-free candy. An optional Amazon Wish List with allergy-friendly options simplifies giving, as items are shipped directly to the school. (Please remember: no nutty goodies.)
We urgently need volunteers to assist with parking and refilling candy bowls during the event. This crucial role ensures the smooth and safe running of the event. It’s also an excellent opportunity for extended family members, such as grandparents, to get involved in the festivities.
Sign up to decorate a trunk, donate candy, or help oversee the parking lot!
