THE CRAIG SCHOOL

WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
Message from the Director

As we head into Thanksgiving week, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our Craig School community. This past Friday’s Grandfriends Day was a beautiful reminder of the warmth and connection that define our school. Thank you to all who were able to join us, to our faculty and staff for their thoughtful planning and seamless execution of each activity, to our wonderful cast of Winnie the Pooh characters who brought joy to everyone, and to our PACS volunteers for their unbelievable transformation of the cafeteria into the Hundred Acre Wood. Your creativity and care made the day truly magical.

With the week off, I also encourage families to enjoy simple, screen-free moments together. Board games are a wonderful way to do that—they build problem-solving skills, strengthen executive functioning, support language development, and give children the chance to practice cooperation and flexible thinking. Most importantly, they offer time to reconnect and laugh together.

Wishing you all a safe, restful, and joy-filled Thanksgiving break. We look forward to welcoming our students back soon!

Craig School International Travel This SPRING (Spain) and SUMMER (Ecuador):  There is still time to get in our Craig/GOGI ABROAD international travel opportunities this Spring and Summer. How does 9 days in Spain sound during Spring Break, or 10 days traveling the Galapagos Islands this summer?  GOGI Director Liz Jackson and Mr. Furlong are working on a Post-Thanksgiving Info Zoom.  Interested families can reach out to Mr. Furlong at NFurlong@craigschool.org

PACS

Grandfriends Day at The Craig School was truly a “hunny-sweet” celebration! PACS is so grateful for every parent who helped bring the magic to life, from planning and decorating to volunteering throughout the event. Your hard work turned our school into the Hundred Acre Wood in the most heartwarming way. A special shout-out to our incredible Craig faculty and staff, whose dedication and joyful spirit made the day unforgettable. As Pooh would say, “It’s not what we have, but who we have beside us that matters”—and we are so lucky to have an amazing community.
