THE CRAIG SCHOOL

WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
Message from the Director

Dear Badger families,

A heartfelt thank you to PACS for making Teacher Appreciation Week truly “Out of This World!” From the creative decorations featuring hanging planets and astronaut-themed touches, to stocking the faculty lounges, hosting a delicious Cinco de Mayo lunch, creating a coffee bar, and organizing a fun scavenger hunt with special treats, every detail made our faculty and staff feel incredibly appreciated.

We know that events like this require a tremendous amount of planning, coordination, donations, and volunteer time behind the scenes. Please know how deeply appreciated your efforts were by all of us. Thank you for celebrating our faculty and staff in such a meaningful way and for all that you do for The Craig School!

Thank you to everyone who supported our leadership council by participating in their plant sale. It was a huge success and all plants arrived and were distributed yesterday afternoon.

We wrap up this festive week tonight with our annual 7th and 8th grade dance! The gym is currently being transformed into a Hawaiian paradise, and we know it will be a fun and memorable evening for all of our middle school students. A special thank you to Alyssa Chartier and her committee of parents for helping bring this exciting event to life!

Next week, we are excited to welcome Dr. Lindsey Skerker, Director of College Counseling and Transitions, to our Speaker Series for an informative evening focused on helping families thoughtfully navigate the next steps in their child’s educational journey. From planning for high school, college, and beyond, Dr. Skerker will share valuable insights, practical tips, and helpful strategies to support students and families through the transition process. Be sure to register using the link in this week’s newsletter — we look forward to a wonderful evening of discussion and learning!

Enjoy your weekend,

Jen Guthrie

Director of the Lower & Middle School

RED NOSE DAY

Red Nose Day is a global campaign that raises funds to help end child poverty by supporting access to food, healthcare, education, and safe housing. Since 2015, it has helped over 31 million children.

Each year, Craig School’s Leadership Program hosts a day of events to raise awareness and support for a student-selected organization. This year, we are partnering with Help4All, a Madison, NJ–based organization that supports individuals and families in need right here in our community.

Red Nose Day will take place on May 21st and will include a variety of learning activities. Leading up to the event, we are collecting donations requested by Help4All. Please see the attached flyers for details—thank you for your support!
