Online Learning Week 4

April 13, 2020

Dear Craig Families,

I hope everyone was able to enjoy some fresh air and family time as we move into another week of online learning. Thank you for all of your positive emails. I have shared them with the staff because those words of encouragement mean everything in this very stressful time.

This week academics begin on Tuesday and go through Friday. Unfortunately, because of our scheduled time off we do not have our fifth day for art and mindfulness.

All students who are involved in pull out Orton have been contacted by their teachers. The Orton instruction will begin this week at the designated times. Since this is an addition to the schedule, please help your child to be ready for their Meet. We certainly understand their will need to be adjustments to your established weekly routine. If nothing else we have all learned the value of flexibility.

I am now in the process of adding Speech and Language back into the schedules. Any student who is placed by their district will need to sign a consent form for teletherapy. Those forms will be emailed directly to your home and must be returned for teletherapy to begin. This consent form is a district requirement and not a Craig School requirement. Students who receive Speech and Language services directly through Craig will not be receiving a consent form but will be given a call or email to let them know the scheduled time for therapy. Once again as a family I ask all to be watchful of the time as we build an additional piece to the online learning week.

As always thank you for your commitment to your child’s learning. Your partnership with the Craig School staff is what will make the difference in your child’s academic growth and well-being.

Sincerely,
Janet M. Cozine
