SPECIALIZED INSTRUCTION The Craig School is known for its specialized instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of students with learning disabilities. The school employs teachers trained in specific learning strategies and techniques, such as Orton Gillingham, that can effectively support students with diverse learning profiles and allow teachers the ability to customize and individualize each student's educational program. The school provides a multi-sensory teaching approach to enhance learning and retention and uses technology such as text-to-speech software, speech recognition tools and specialized apps. Support services, including occupational therapy, speech and counseling are also integrated directly into each student's academic schedule. "The staff is trained to understand the social- emotional aspects of learning disabilities and provides emotional support to help students build self-esteem, develop resilience and foster positive relationships.
