Week of May 26th, 2025
Welcome to the end-of-the-school-year sprint! Just so we are all on the same page for our school calendar, THURSDAY, June 5th, is our last full day of school (8AM-3PM).
Starting with June 6th, which is our HS Graduation, through the last week of school (June 9th-13th), all our days are 12 PM Close Days. Our last week of school will be exam prep and exam week, and culminate in our final Spirit Day of our School Year on Friday, June 13th.
And just in case you didn’t have a chance to check out our CHS Prom “Greatest Show on Earth” pics, here is the Shutterfly link (https://link.shutterfly.com/Q8Q0ev7zrTb). They take a bit to download, but they are well worth the wait! Have an amazing long weekend,
Dr. Cap

CHS Common Clubs Spring 2025: At CHS, our students have the opportunity to create their own clubs. They find something that they have in common with other students, write a proposal, and take point on making it happen! Our Common Clubs, as we call them, are developed, organized, and facilitated by our students. This spring, we had Casino Club, where students played a variety of Vegas-style games for a weekly prize. One week it was a 5lb gummy bear and a pot of Peeps, the next. Our baller club bounced between basketball and volleyball. Our 3-D printing club created some amazing individual pieces, and our Movie Review Club spent as time snacking as they did reviewing movies. Our meditative coloring club was so quiet, we forgot they were there. After some ongoing dialogue and development, we added an Archery Club to close out our Spring Club offerings.
THE CRAIG GOLF EVENT NEEDS YOUR HELP: Here are 2 ways you can help. First, our online auction will run alongside the outing, and we need your help to make it a success! Thanks to our generous Craig families, we’re bringing back the Amazon Wish List for easy item donations. Simply select an item, and it will be shipped directly to Craig School to be bundled into auction packages. All items must arrive by May 21st.
Every contribution - big or small - helps make this event successful. Thank you for supporting Craig’s largest fundraiser! For questions, contact: Amanda Jahn (ajahn@craigschool.org), or Mary Calvano (mcalvano@craigschool.org)
The second way to help - attend the outing and/or dinner. Details are:

Craig High NHS Collecting SPRING CLOTHING for the Hazel Project: CHS has teamed up with the Hazel Project, a non-profit located right here in Montville, for a SPRING CLOTHING DRIVE for people in need.
We are collecting SPRING CLOTHING (Light Jackets, Hoodies, Jeans, Long and Short Sleeve T-Shirts, Sneakers, Blankets, and Baseball Hats) through next Friday, MAY 23rd. It is a great opportunity to clean out your drawers and closets as we make that transition into our Spring Wardrobes and a worthy cause. Students can drop off donations during morning arrival.
